We are excited to announce that Symetra Center renovation project has won the NAIOP 2025 Redevelopment/Renovation Project of the Year Award!
Fora joined the design team in 2018 to reimagine the ground-level experience of Symetra Center, including the entry plaza-lobby experience, pedestrian connections, indoor-outdoor experience from a new café and bar, and amenity plaza. Rather than working with a blank slate, the design team thoughtfully re-purposed existing materials and water features and saved existing mature trees. The existing pink granite capstone and cladding on site was paired with and contrasted with clean Granada white concrete pavers and Angola black granite at the existing fountain to give a fresh take on the plaza. Making sustainable, low-waste and low-emissions decisions was a priority for the client and design team.
