Project Overview
Star Lake Elementary and Evergreen Middle School is a unique project that integrated the two schools into one shared building to achieve project goals of cultivating connections and collaboration, enhancing safety, and creating educational and operational efficiencies.
The site is designed with separate access points for the elementary and middle school shared bus drop-off. An entry plaza at each school entrance helps to identify the main entrances to the public and create unique identities to each school. Courtyards between classroom wings are designed to enable outdoor learning opportunities. The southeastern end of the school campus is dedicated to elementary play facilities with clearly defined community access.
