In honor of Black History Month, we have decided to take the time to highlight some of the notable but often underappreciated contributions of Black Landscape Architects. From the knowledge and skills brought here forcefully in the Middle Passage to more contemporary and historical landscapes of joy, we hope to honor all of it.
As well, many us have read/begun reading Cast: The Origins of Our Discontents by Isabel Wilkerson to continue educating ourselves about our nations complicated history. Black History Month or not, we invite everyone to do the same!
